Are you looking to complete Tarkov Shooter Part 4 in EFT but are having a hard time? Here are the best tips to help you complete this quest.
The best way to complete this quest is by utilizing the best maps and sniping spots, using the right ammo and weapons, being extremely patient, and hoping to get lucky.
Let’s go through everything you need to know in turn.
Best Tips for Tarkov Shooter Part 4
To start with the basics, here are the best tips to complete Tarkov Shooter Part 4:
- Play on your most familiar map – This quest can be completed in any map, so it’s important to play on a map you know
- Use the right ammo – Ammo is extremely important, and I highly recommend using ammo that can one-shot in the thorax
- Have patience – This quest will truly test your patience since you’ll need to stand still and snipe in certain areas for long periods of time
- Weapon choice doesn’t matter – There are many bolt-action rifles you can use and any of them will work. The only difference between them is a slight change in ergonomics and different calibers. Choose a caliber that you have high-quality ammo for and use the cheapest weapon; there’s no reason to fully mod a Mosin for this quest as a VPO will do the same job just fine.
- Learn spawns – An easy method for sniper kills is learning player spawns on every map. Based on your spawn, check the closest spawn and try to get a quick peek as they start moving into the map
- Reposition after shooting – If you manage to get a kill or a scav blows your cover, I highly recommend repositioning. Even if you used a suppressor, experienced players familiar with sniping hotspots will know where you are.
While you’ll mostly be based on vision, make sure to also have one of the best headsets in Tarkov to avoid getting ambushed from behind.
Let’s go through map choice and spots in more detail.
Best Map & Sniping Spots for Tarkov Shooter Part 4
This quest can be completed on any map, and your best choice is the map you’re most comfortable with.
Most players will recommend Woods and it can be a great choice but only if you know all the sniping spots. If you don’t you’ll end up getting sniped before even seeing anyone.
My recommendation for the best Tarkov Shooter 4 map in EFt during mid/late stages of the wipe is Customs. It’s filled with newer/lower-level players and is always full of people.
There aren’t many sniping spots overall but there’s at least one on every side of the map. If you learn these spots, you’ll be able to catch players off-guard easily.
Alternatively, if you want to learn spawns and play off that, Interchange and Shoreline are your best options.

Best Weapons & Ammo for Sniping in EFT
As mentioned previously, weapon choice doesn’t matter as much since all weapons have similar ergonomics and recoil doesn’t matter. However, what matters a lot is the caliber.
The quest doesn’t require headshots, so one trick is to use ammo and weapons that can one shot in the thorax.
Specifically, I would recommend using either the VPO or the Mosin/SV-98. The VPO equipped with AP-M ammo (which can be crafted at the Workbench after completing Tarkov Shooter 3) will one-shot anyone with level 4 armor hit in the thorax.
Similarly, the Mosin or SV-98 with 7.62x54r PS will also go through most level-4 armors in the thorax.
Wrapping up
To summarize this Tarkov Shooter Part 4 guide in EFT, the easiest way to complete this quest is by using high-damage ammo that can one-shot in the thorax, learning maps and spawns, and being patient.
While this will take multiple raids, learning sniping spots and going through this whole process will allow you to learn each map better. Next time you’re running there, you’ll be sure to check all the sniping spots and won’t have to worry as much about getting sniped.
Which map, weapon, and ammo did you use to complete this quest? How many raids did it take you? Feel free to share your sniping experiences in the comments below.
